1. Agreeing to these terms
SkillScrum is operated by Bojan Milic, a sole trader of Queensland, Australia (ABN 16 725 626 819). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use SkillScrum.
2. What SkillScrum is — and isn't
SkillScrum is a free footy tipping comp. It is not a gambling service. There are no entry fees, no wagering, no betting odds and no cash stakes. You cannot deposit money and you cannot lose money.
We don't display odds, we don't source data from bookmakers, and we don't accept advertising from wagering operators.
If a promotion with a prize ever runs, it will have its own separate terms and conditions published at the time, and entry will always remain free.
3. Who can use it
You must be 16 or over to create an account. By signing up you confirm you meet that age requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
One person, one account. Don't create multiple accounts to game a ladder.
4. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.
- Pick a username that isn't offensive, doesn't impersonate someone else, and doesn't infringe anyone's trademark. We can change or remove usernames that break this.
5. Comps and conduct
Comps are meant to be a bit of fun between mates. When you're in one:
- Banter is welcome. Harassment, threats, hate speech and abuse are not.
- Don't post anything unlawful, or anything you wouldn't want a 16-year-old in the comp to read.
- Don't use SkillScrum to organise betting, run a book, or promote wagering services.
- Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the app.
Comp administrators can remove members from comps they created. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Tips, scoring and results
- Each game locks at its scheduled kickoff. Tips submitted after lockout won't be counted.
- You can change your tips as many times as you like before a game locks.
- Results and scoring are calculated from third-party match data. We take reasonable care, but we can't guarantee it's always complete or error-free.
- If a scoring error is found, we may correct ladders and results after the fact.
- If a match is postponed, abandoned or rescheduled, we'll apply a sensible outcome and let affected comps know.
7. Availability
We'll do our best to keep SkillScrum running, but it's provided on an "as available" basis. Features may change, be added or be removed. We may need to take the app down for maintenance, sometimes without much notice.
8. Intellectual property
The SkillScrum name, logo, design, scoring system and software are ours. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them.
Club names, logos and colours belong to their respective clubs and leagues. SkillScrum is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the NRL, the AFL, or any club.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of anything you post — usernames, comp names, messages. By posting it, you give us permission to display it within the app for the purpose of running the service.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where we're required to by law.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to that, to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of SkillScrum, and our total liability to you is limited to resupplying the service or, where we can't, one hundred Australian dollars.
SkillScrum is entertainment. Don't rely on it as a source of accurate sports data.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll revise the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use SkillScrum after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be dealt with in the courts of Queensland.
